Arrived in Santa Rosa about 4 p.m. Weather cleared up as soon as we left Eureka this morning, it's been sunny and blue skies ever since. A little too warm for us Oregonians, Ron's announced that he was "too hot!", Debbie agreed but Murray said he didn't think he was that hot. Murray's enjoying the ride and how fast he can take the corners and Ron's whining about going any faster than 75.

The Redwoods were awesome, and we would have a picture of us there, but we couldn't catch Murray to have him stop! Instead, he chose a quaint little spot at an abandoned shack alongside the road without a Redwood tree in sight, or a bathroom. Ron did find an old chair to relax in. We guilted Murray into sightseeing just a bit, and we almost got to drive through the Redwood Tree, but we missed the exit. Murray doesn't really like to use signals.

We ate lunch in Willits at a hippy coffee house, which Nancy and Debbie really enjoyed. Ron and Murray on the other hand had to look hard to find anything with meat in it.

Traffic coming into Santa Rosa was scary. We actually lost each other for a while, got off the freeway and back on and then somehow found each other again.

We're at the only hotel in this city without a pool or a hot tub. It's almost 80 but feels hotter. We're having a great time, laughing a lot. Murray said we started this trip as "wild hogs", now we're sweaty pigs!

We're going to dinner soon, so we'll write again tomorrow.

A hippie coffee house? Come on now?? Where is the picture of you all stuffing your faces with a Double Double Animal Style?? Oh, and by the way, on the way back home, coud you grab brad and I a couple of those? Really, we'll just reheat them in the microvave...or eat them cold.

Really.

Loved the pictures. Looks like you are enjoying your ride. Mike wants to know if you want him to tell the grandkids anything. Mike is teaching Chloe the Roto-Rooter jingle:)
